Blues remodelling of their squad continued today after the surprise release of Keshi Anderson.

Anderson came to an agreement with the club to terminate his contract by mutual consent.

The 30-year-old wideman had six months left to run on his deal.

Anderson’s last appearance for Blues came as a starter in the 3-0 defeat by Watford on New Year’s Day, when he came back from injury.

However, he has been left out of Blues last two matchday squads by manager Chris Davies.

And the upshot was today’s conformation that Anderson has exited, which frees up a spot in Blues squad.

Anderson was a key performer during Blues record-breaking League One title campaign but this season has made only seven starts.

So far this window Blues have brought in left-back Kai Wagner from Philadelphia Union, for around £2 million.

But their pursuit of Gambian attacker Abdoulie Manneh bit the dust .

The Mjällby star was all set to move to St. Andrew’s after a fee and personal terms were seemingly agreed. But the transfer hit an unexpected snag and is now not going ahead.

Blues have a strong interest in Girona’s Jhon Solis, with the Colombian midfielder tipped as a likely loan signing initially.

In terms of exits, Dion Sanderson’s loan to Derby County was made a permanent transfer and Eiran Cashin was recalled by Brighton & Hove Albion on loan in order to join Blackburn Rovers temporarily.

Emil Hansson joined Excelsior Rotterdam, after Blues ended his loan to Blackpool in order to move him out.
