Blues have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Ibrahim Osman, of Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 21-year-old has joined on loan until the season’s end.

Osman spent the first months of this season on loan at French club Auxerre, where he started seven of his 14 matches, contributing two assists.

He arrives at Blues with a reputation for being an athletic, pacy and direct ball-carrier. The Ghanaian can play on either wing, with the left flank the more favoured position.

Osman began his career in his native land before moving to Danish side Nordsjælland in 2023.

In the 2023/24 season he registered 10 goals and nine assists in 44 games across all competitions.

He caught the attention of clubs Europe-wide and Brighton were that impressed they splashed out £16 million to sign him.

He was loaned to Feyenoord in Holland for 2024/25 – four goals from 32 appearances – and gained Champions League experience.

Brighton, for whom he has yet to appear, recalled him from his loan to Auxerre in order to facilitate the move to Blues.
